KUT
A two-player modern strategy about threat projection, branching futures, and attrition. Eliminate every opposing piece to win.
Pieces
Ground
move 1 · threat 1 · no copy
Naval
move 3 · threat 3 · can copy
Flight
move 4 · threat 4 · can copy
Artillery
move 1 · threat 2 · can copy
Special
move 2 · threat 2 · can copy
Turn
- Move one piece (within its range), or pass.
- If an enemy is within threat range, eliminate it. To eliminate an enemy, 2 or more of your pieces must be within threat range, or at least one Special piece must be within threat range.
- End your turn and wait for your opponent's move.
Copies
When a non-Ground piece moves, it may leave a copy on the square it came from, but only if the destination is not under enemy threat. Moving either the original or the copy collapses the other branch; the moved branch becomes the new original. If the original is eliminated, its copy dies with it. If the copy is eliminated, the original lives on.
Pass collapse
Four consecutive turns where neither side moves, copies, or eliminates ends the game as a mutual loss.
